14 Sep Anticyclic Citrullinated Peptide Antibodies in Rheumatoid and Nonrheumatoid Rheumatic Disorders: Experience with 1162 Patients
Autoantibodies are useful for determinations of the diagnosis and prognosis of the various types of inflammatory chronic rheumatisms. Anticitrullinated protein antibodies (ACPA), like anticyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies (anti-CCP), have proven effective as diagnostic markers for rheumatoid arthritis (RA).
RMDs are highly prevalent and significantly affect activity limitations and participation restrictions. More effort is needed to improve care and research in this field.
